L'Alsace est malheureusement une des régions grimpable de France progressivement infestée par la même vague d'interdictions qui interdit l'escalade dans 70 à 80% des sites, à l'exception de la Bavière et de la Saxe. Malgré un soixantaine d'interdictions destinées, non pas à protéger l'environnement mais à exclure l'homme de la nature, on peut (encore) grimper dans une douzaine d'endroits. Alsace is unfortunately one of the french climbing regions which is progressively infested by the same prohibition wave as in Germany, a country where open air climbing is forbidden in 70 to 80% of crags, with the exceptions of Bavaria and Sax. Although more than sixty areas have been forbidden, not for the sake of environment protection but in the intent of excluding mankind from nature, climbing is (still) permitted in a dozen of places.
